THE ROCKY HORROR ROCK SHOW- A live musical experience of RHPS by Well Hung Heart & Friends
THE ROCKY HORROR ROCK SHOW- A live musical experience of RHPS by Well Hung Heart & Friends
There is no mistaking the bluesy undercurrent that forms the bedrock of Well Hung Heart's raw and uncompromising Rock sound. British born guitarist Robin Davey cut his teeth with the Blues elite, jamming onstage with the likes of Buddy Guy and recording with Mick Jagger. Davey quickly secured a place as the youngest ever inductee into the British Blues Hall Of Fame, and has built a reputation as an eclectic and cutting edge musical mind.

Singer Greta Valenti grew up amongst the deep-rooted musical traditions of New Orleans. Though the two's early years were spent on opposite sides of the Atlantic, they have both found common ground in their passion for the raw honesty of music, delivered in its most unprocessed and unrestricted form.

With a dose of Hendrix, and a nod to PJ Harvey, Well Hung Heart is just as comfortable channeling Nirvana as they are Leadbelly or Led Zeppelin.

Well Hung Heart record just as they play live - stripped down to the core, void of multiple takes and studio trickery. Well Hung Heart finished off their first year in existence with high profile shows both sides of the Atlantic. Appearing at London's prestigious O2 Academy, and the Make Music Festival in Pasadena, opening for Grimes, Grouplove and Cults.

Well Hung Heart acknowledge that though their influences might stem from the roots, their approach to finding an audience is very much in the present. With a series of self-directed Youtube videos establishing the band's presence, Well Hung Heart have managed to build a burgeoning fan base, both with their blistering live performances, and their creativity in the digital age.

Bad Cop / Bad Cop
Bad Cop / Bad Cop
“Shove your labels / we’ll flip your tables / and we won’t apologize / for causing a scene.” – Bad Cop/Bad Cop, My Life
The lyric above is essentially a mission statement for Bad Cop/Bad Cop, who prove that the best way to battle sexist stereotypes about women in bands is to play well, and to play hard.
With catchy hooks, three part harmonies, and a drummer who fires her guns harder than most of her male compatriots, Bad Cop/Bad Cop bring to mind the ‘90s heyday of chicks who actually rocked, from the snarl of The Distillers and synchronized vocals of Dance Hall Crashers to the guitar prowess of The Muffs and wry lyrics of Lunachicks.
All hailing from different parts of the U.S., the foursome met in Los Angeles while playing in bands like Compton SF, The Radio Sweetheart, The D’Maggs, The City, Angry Amputees, and Cunt Sparrer. Eventually realizing that their combined talents and influences would be greater than the sum of their parts, they launched the band in 2011 and quickly became the big sisters of the DIY punk scene, about which Jennie says “We have been so lucky to participate in such a supportive, inclusive, and active scene [with] great people working together and encouraging each other.”
After playing at the “Lilith Bear” party during San Francisco Bear Pride 2013, they were supported and encouraged by an unlikely audience member: NOFX’s Fat Mike. “After our set, Mike approached and said he liked all the songs and decided then that he was going to do something with our band. I almost crapped myself, and the rest is history,” says Dee
With a self-released 7” in 2013, the “Boss Lady EP” released on Fat Wreck Chords made its way onto numerous top 10 lists in 2014. Bad Cop/Bad Cop are looking forward to the release of their first full-length album, produced by Fat Mike, out on Fat Wreck Chords 2015.

Noise of Rumors
Noise of Rumors
Over the past few years, this Californian combo set out to dazzle fans and critics alike with their music, as well as secure opening spots to share the stage with major artists, including No Doubt and Fitz & The Tantrums, among others. The band has been performing extensively throughout Southern California, and their energy as a live act allowed them to successfully entertain the crowd at world-famous events and venues, such as Warped Tour, The House of Blues (Anaheim), The Whiskey A Go Go and The Gibson Amphitheater, just to mention a few. They are gearing up to release their 4th album in 2018 titled "The Daze".
222
222
222 was formed in the summer of 2014 when friends Jade Howard and Dennis Hamlin after hanging out at a party one night decided to record a song for fun. The result of that night was the song “One Night Stand” and would go on to be their first release later that year. On 2/22/15 they self released their first album “Libretto”.
222 delivers their own power packed take on dance rock via a mixture of pop punk 80s/90s influenced rock mixed with current electronic influences. Respected music publications Pure Volume.com, Vent Magazine, Access Music, Blurred Culture, DeliMagazine.com and LABuzzBands.com have all highlighted the unique sound and songwriting talents of 222. Their high energy live shows have built a strong following across the U.S. via a string of well attended club dates including a successful gig at the Red Gorilla Fest in Austin, TX. The band’s growing popularity is also due to airplay on influencer radio stations such as KROQ in Los Angeles.

The hooks keep coming—and so do the left turns—on the new and second album, I’M NOT TRYING TO BE YOU…JUST KIDDING I'M TRYING TO BE YOU. Creatively blending alternative rock, rooted in the ‘80s and ‘90s, with modern dance mixes throughout the 11 tracks, the co-ed duo of vocalist/guitarist Jade Howard and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Dennis Hamlin create a sound that’s both irresistible and mysterious. Highlights include title cut, “Heart Tied In A Knot,” “Dream Trigger,” “The Mortician” and "Everywhere We Go”—which Jade insights “takes place on the road but follows me into my dreams when I dose off in the car while Dennis drives.”

I’M NOT TRYING TO BE YOU… is the follow-up to 222’s debut album 2015’s Libretto. That album’s first single “One Night Stand” earned them airplay on Los Angeles tastemaker radio station KROQ, among other radio outlets. Their provocative self-produced videos for “One Night Stand” and “Headcake” and the title track off the new album “ I’m Not Trying to be You” are vivid mini movies and can be seen along with a host of energetic live videos on 222’s YouTube channel.

222 produced, and arranged all songs on I’M NOT TRYING TO BE YOU… as they did on their debut album Libretto, recording them both in their home studio. “Jade and I have extremely similar taste which makes it a very simple, easy process,” says Dennis. “I write, arrange, and play all the instruments along with Jade on guitar and then we go through everything till we both agree its what we want. Jade and I have been friends for a long time so we know each other very well. Live, we are just as picky about our band and have found some amazing, entertaining, musicians to help us bring to life this music. Because of that when we all add our own personalities into the live aspect, it only gets better.”

The prolific songwriting team of Jade and Dennis draw their musical inspiration from books, movies and life experiences. On the new album, they dive deeper into song concepts while keeping the emotional element sourced from personal places. “Our life experiences definitely play a big part in our songs,” says Dennis, “Even on the more extreme ideas, there is usually some sort of home ground from which they came.”

“The title track ‘I'm Not Trying To Be You…’ is about Jade and I moving out to L.A. from our small towns and being around each other so much that we actually start becoming each other, says Dennis. “I feel that describes how this album differs from the first in the way that the writing is sort of a sequel to Libretto, it just flowed naturally from the last one but there is definitely evolution happening.” Jade adds: "We have gotten to the point where we don't have to talk. We just start doing the same thing or get ready to go somewhere together.”

Another stand out track from I’M NOT TRYING TO BE YOU… is “The Mortician” which Dennis humorously notes was “born out of Jade and my sick sense of humor, but when writing it, the song took on a deeper meaning.” He adds: “I don't really see it as dark as much as circumstantial. This is a job where you spend hours giving dead people one last makeover before their family accepts them as deceased. We feel that you would almost have to fall in love with each of your patients to do your best job, especially after meeting their families and hearing their stories about this person that you have to sort of bring back to life for them.”

222 are psyched to bring the new songs on the road and kick them into an even higher gear. The band is committed to deepening their bond with fans and garnering new ones. Asked what they’d like to overhear one fan talking to another right after a 222 show, Dennis says: “Refreshing to see someone doing their own thing and not following a trend. And they're fucking amazing!!”
Burlesque by Heather Horror
Burlesque by Heather Horror
Born and raised in northwestern Ohio, I've always been "the weird one". I was named after Carol Anne from Poltergeist, after all. I've been enamoured with horror films since I was a little girl, and that infatuation grew as I grew. Another passion came to me at a young age, also; modeling. I did my first photoshoot just before turning 16 years old. In my younger years, I had only modeled on occasion as just a hobby. As much as I loved it, I never thought I would be able to create something real out of it.
Modeling has been the one thing I've continued doing over the last 10 years and my passion for it has excelled over time. Some crazy years and crazy life moments later, I find myself in Los Angeles. I'm ecstatic to start new projects and find new people to work with. In addition to modeling, I'm also striving to accomplish a career in burlesque, gogo dancing, fetish, freakshow acts, and special fx makeup...basically, if it's sensual and spooky, I want in. I've never felt more inspired and sure of what I'm doing as I do now, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
