Corey Harper
Corey Harper
Corey Harper is an American singer/songwriter from Portland, Oregon. Born in St. Louis, Missouri to Brad and Robin Harper, Corey began playing guitar at an early age when he came across a Fender Stratocaster at his uncles house is Kansas City.

With help from his Uncle, and Father, Corey learned simple chords and furthered his skills from watching videos of Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Eric Clapton, and copied what he heard on his guitar. With no background in reading music or lessons at all, Corey plays strictly by ear and is self taught.

His major influences include John Mayer, Ben Howard, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bob Dylan, and B.B. King. These artists have shaped his guitar playing, voice, songwriting, and passion for music. Corey studied music and literature history classes in Eugene, Oregon shortly before dropping out to pursue a career with his music in Los Angeles, California.

Corey was discovered through Instagram videos of himself singing and playing songs he wrote by an Australian acoustic rock artist Cody Simpson, and gained exposure for his music in San Francisco when he opened for Cody at the Great American Music Hall. Corey currently resides in California, and is working on writing and producing his first EP.
