David Rosales & His Band of Scoundrels
David Rosales & His Band of Scoundrels
“…invoking elements of R&B, gospel, rock, and western influences to dust
things up with a helping of soulful grit.”
– popMatters

“…epitomizes Americana folk, country, and blues.”
– NY Music Examiner

“…sweetly optimistic and fun-loving…”
– Guitar World Magazine

With his rich baritone vocal and hopeful melodies, Los Angeles-native,
David Rosales, comes from a place of deep content and shining optimism
in his debut album, Brave Ones, released on April 27th, 2018.

Drawing on the wide-open spaces of the Southwest and the smooth textures
of the Pacific Ocean, David Rosales & His Band of Scoundrels seamlessly
weave an alluring landscape of American roots music when translating the
album in a live setting. A sound that pairs well with contemporaries
they have shared the stage with in Ben Harper, Matt Costa, The White
Buffalo, Donavon Frankenreiter and Steep Canyon Rangers.

It’s impossible to deny the warmth and ease of Rosales’ songwriting
prowess throughout the 11 tracks as he seamlessly blends his vintage
sonic tastes with fresh vision. Crediting his love of classic Rhythm &
Blues and Country & Western singers Sam Cooke, Ray Charles and Johnny
Cash, coupled with his admiration for modern day troubadours the likes
of Ryan Adams, Amos Lee, Nathaniel Rateliff and Afie Jurvanen (Bahamas)
as being influential in the writing and recording process.

Brave Ones marks Rosales’ third collaboration with Co-Producer, friend
and Donavon Frankenreiter sideman, Matt Grundy. Looking for a change in
scenery, the duo recorded at Super Bloom Studios —a log cabin studio
that rests on the edge of the wind-swept expanse known as the Mojave
Desert in the shadow of California’s Mount San Antonio. The duo thrived
in this remote location, which became an unequivocal inspiration for the
recording sessions.
Ted Z and the Wranglers
Ted Z and the Wranglers
Ted Z and the Wranglers, of Southern California, deliver outlaw country-charged rock. Ted's catchy story-songs are fully-realized tales of love, regret, getting older, and getting in trouble. The band stirs up its Americana influences, featuring quick picking and bluesy slide guitar over galloping train beats and swinging shuffles.
Zach Churchill
Zach Churchill
Inspired at a young age, Zach Churchill has dedicated his life to creating, performing, and sharing music with everyone he meets. His love for all types of musical expression has evolved into a unique sound that reflects his personal tastes and desires. His vocal style is reminiscent of Jeff Buckley's haunting vibrato, Chet Baker's smooth and crisp tone, and Robert Plant's blues roots. A blend of jazz and blues, classic rock, and progressive music has contributed to his major influences as a singer-songwriter and has matured a passion for his own original compositions. As a Los Angeles based singer-songwriter, Zach has had the opportunity to share the stage with artists such as Donavon Frankenreiter, Leon Russell, Poncho Sanchez, and Trevor Hall, and has played showcases, private events, and esteemed music venues throughout the west coast of the U.S., New York City, and the south of France, gaining him a solid fan base at home and abroad. Zach received a "Best Live Band" nomination from the 2014 OC Music Awards and is a regular guest on Laguna Beach's FM station, KX 93.5, and can be found every summer at the Sawdust Art Festival performing amongst talented local artists of all mediums. His recent trip to France, with a series of shows in the south and a final performance in Paris, aimed to promote his recently released EP- Something Else (2013)- and marked his debut in Europe.

Something Else is available online through all major distributors (iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon, etc.) along with Zach's debut full band album, Dragon Bait (2012). Churchill is currently playing shows in Southern California to support the release of Something Else and has plans to head back into the studio to work on a follow up record which will be released in Fall 2014.
