Carlos Medina
Carlos Medina
"Meow Wolf musician Carlos Medina is a psychedelic Mariachi. His debut album “El Cantador” pushes the boundaries of the genre into the psych-pop realm, exploring themes of altered states, mystery and illusion. Carlos is a multi-instrumentalist with a DIY background, bootstrapping a career in remote roadside bars, serenading strangers at their tables with dark corridos from the heart. Known to many as “the Tom Waits of Mariachi,” Carlos has played in 38 states and sold tens of thousands of handmade CDs to individual fans across the country. He is an artist-in-residence at George RR Martin’s Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe."
The Gospel Swamp
The Gospel Swamp
The Gospel Swamp is a cosmic project based out of Huntington Beach and made up of close ol’ time buddies from high school. We have been jamming as a group since we graduated high school in 2011, while independently working on various musical pursuits ranging from playing in different bands (The New Tenants in Berkeley, The Gringoz in Orange County) to studying music and sound engineering. In 2017, The Gospel Swamp began regularly recording and gigging original material around Orange County, developing our sound and fan base alongside local bands.
From the earliest days, we all loved to explore the many colors of Rock. Our performance includes textures of blues, surf, jazz, punk, and folk; we have a psychedelic garage sound and a passion for jamming. The Swamp is deep and murky and beautiful.
Chapis
Chapis
Temo Molina pairs haunting vocals with melodic guitar, and a wide variety of time signatures. Inspiration for his music comes organically and randomly, and never fails to convey the rich colors and textures of the emotions from which they are born. Truly inspiring, and creative, he takes songwriting to a new level.
Myxedema
Introducing Myxedema, an Orange County based indie pop outfit built upon the gritty, striking vocals of Mason McCullough and surrounded by the groovy, atmospheric drumming of Patrick Tapia. Drawing on elements from pop, classic cinema, and everything in between, Myxedema presents McCullough's distinct vocals against a backdrop of bright harmonic textures, innovative drumming and sublime dream pop melodies.
